PricewaterhouseCoopers, a Belgian audit, assurance, advisory, and tax services provider, lately predicted that China would become the world's biggest light-duty carmaker in 2009, and this leading position could not be shaken within a short period of time.
In the first quarter of 2009, PricewaterhouseCoopers once forecast that about 7.6 million light vehicles would be assembled in the country this year, but the estimates were lifted by 2.2 million units recently.
