NANNING, China -- Asean members should unite and look at complementing each other rather than trying to compete as it could help build the 10-member grouping into a regional powerhouse, say regional business leaders.

With more free trade agreements between the 10-nation group and others coming into effect, notably the one with China next year, new opportunities to expand business can be tapped best through a unified strategy.
