West African police chiefs meet in Nigeria, discuss ways to tackle organized cri

Police chiefs of West African countries have met in Abuja to discuss how the sub-region can fight transnational organized crimes. The 10th meeting of the West African Police Chiefs Committee (WAPCCO) held at ECOWAS Secretariat yesterday.

Transnational crimes which have threatened security in West Africa include armed robbery, car snatching, theft, drug trafficking, human trafficking, cyber crime, kidnapping, cattle rustling among others.
