Boulder police: Woman hit ex-husband's head with shovel

Boulder police arrested a 25-year-old Lafayette woman late Tuesday on suspicion of breaking into her ex-husband's Boulder home and hitting him in the head with a shovel in front of their child.

Officers were called at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday about a domestic disturbance at a home in the 3300 block of Berkley Court. When they arrived, they found a man with a towel wrapped around his bleeding head, two broken windows in the front entryway and an orange shovel, said Boulder police spokeswoman Sarah Huntley.
