Ebay Gains Late Traction After Lawsuit Settlement with Skype Founders

EBay Inc. (EBAY) is gaining some traction after bouncing in an out of the red for most of the session, up 0.52%. The move follows its announcement that it had settled a lawsuit with Skype's founders that had hampered its sale of the Internet phone service.

Ebay said the settlement gives Skype ownership of critical software that had been licensed from Joltid Ltd., which is a company founded by Skype co-founders Niklas Zennstrom and Janus Friis.
