Magnetek (MAG), maker of digital power and motion control systems, said Friday that it lost $1.8 million, or 6 cents a share, in the first quarter of fiscal 2010, compared with profit of $900,000 or 3 cents a share in the first quarter of fiscal 2009.

The Menomonee Falls-based firm said that in the fiscal quarter ending Sept. 27, revenues totaled $17.8 million, a 32% decrease from the first quarter fiscal 2009 sales of $26.4 million.
