The Iraqi parliamentary law committee is expected to make an official announcement on amendments to the Election Law, the Kurdistan Democratic Party-owned Kurdistan Satellite TV reported on 7 November.

Kurdistan Satellite TV held an interview with its reporter in Baghdad, Karawn Anwar, about the parliament session on the election law. Anwar said that the committee on law was continuing discussions that were expected to amend the law. Kurdistan Alliance (KA) member Muhsin Sa'dun had said that a proposal on amendments had been forwarded to the committee without giving details, according to the reporter.
