Polygraph test clears 'cancer patient' in wife's scam: Prosecutors accept his denial of knowledge, drop charges

DELAWARE, Ohio -- Phylip Chen jumped at the chance to take a polygraph test because he was certain it would finally prove that he was telling the truth.

Chen, 38, of Columbus, passed the test and yesterday learned that Delaware County prosecutors had dropped all charges against him. Investigators had accused Chen of helping his wife, Melanie, steal thousands of dollars from relatives and friends in an elaborate cancer scam.
