Cathay Pacific Airways, which last week introduced flights between Jeddah and Hong Kong, has plans for further expansion in the Kingdom and the Middle East. Chief Executive Tony Tyler was in Jeddah to announce the airline's plans. The new service aims to increase the airline's presence in the Middle Eastern market, connecting business and leisure passengers to Cathay Pacific's extensive international network through Hong Kong. Cathay Pacific launched its service to Riyadh in 2001 and was soon operating daily flights from the capital due to increased demand.
