European Central Bank board member Lorenzo Bini Smaghi said Sunday that the economic recovery has started but thinks that it will need time to return to pre-crisis levels.

In an interview published Sunday on Italian daily Repubblica, Bini Smaghi said that there will be a stronger rebound in the last two quarters of the year and it will progressive in future quarters.
